Burning of Hopewell February 19, 1863 (Cos. "C," "D," "E," "F"). Moved to Vicksburg, Miss., May 10 - 17. Siege of Vicksburg May 21 - July 4. Expedition from Young's Point, La., to Richmond, La., June 14 - 16. Action at Richmond June 15. Post duty at Vicksburg, Miss., July 5 to September 12. Moved to Helena, Ark., September 12, thence to Memphis, and march to Chattanooga, Tenn., September 28 - November 20. Operations on Memphis and Charleston R. R. in Alabama October 20 - 29. Chattanooga - Ringgold Campaign November 23 - 27. Tunnel Hill November 24 - 25. Mission Ridge November 25. Pursuit to Ringgold, Ga., November 26 - 27. Regiment lost during service 5 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 4 Officers and 135 Enlisted men by disease. Total 144.
