The Adjudant Generals Report of the State of Illinois provided an index of Illinois' Civil War soldiars for use with pension processing and eligibility. The report was large and comprehensive and provides a historical record of those who served. However, errors, particularly in spelling, are not unknown.

While the AGR Report which is the principal source for the rosters contained on this website is a historical document, and the transcriptions of the AGR have been made as faithful as possible, there have been a number of requests over the years by decendents to correct errors in the names and final status of soldiers.

In order to accomodate these wishes while still staying true to the integrity of the source documents, this page has been created containing supplied corrections to the rosters. The original rosters will remain posted as transcribed and faithful to the AGR, but a link noting a supplied correction will be added to the roster page. Those links are directed to this page.

Corrections will only be accepted from individuals supplying a name and email addresss and agreeing to have that contact information posted on the corrections page.
